Dear friends, today I will talk about an external laptop cooling system that I purchased and received just last night. I really like laptops because they are very comfortable and because I like the idea of being able to write an article like this while my dog plays happy in the park. But what has always bothered me about laptops, is the fact that, like all systems cooled by a fan, sooner or later they fill with dust and can no longer properly dissipate the heat. In fact, it is not uncommon for me to see my laptop overheating and stop working and decide to turn off on its own, causing me to lose my job by an hour or more. Normally, when my desktop computer starts to malfunction and I hear the fan increasing the number of laps, I find it relatively simple the fate of opening it and cleaning up fan and dissipator. Unfortunately, this operation with a laptop is not very simple and if I were to bring my old dusty laptop into service, I would probably have to pay a lot more to get it cleaned up of its real value. This has led me on more than one occasion to opt for laptops and cheap without a fan but which still offer really poor performance.
In addition, I have noticed the tendency on the part of all laptops, to overheat even if they are new when I open any game that needs a decent processing capacity. Very often the keyboard and the area around where the air comes out become scorching and I find myself many times in the unpleasant condition of being forced to desist from the idea of playing with my laptop. So I was just looking for something that would allow me to continue using my laptop when I discovered this new external laptop cooling system. I bought it on Amazon because normally I shop there and i have never disappointed with its policy of guaranteeing the customer and returning items with refund. When I arrived and I opened the box, I immediately saw that it was a very well-done object and I could not believe it cost so little. It is in fact a solution that works on all laptops, is equipped with adapters for all the air intakes of every laptop up to 17 inches and is powered with a very comfortable usb cable. What’s the name of this miraculous thing? It’s called KLIM COOL, it weighs only 259 grams and works with 5 volts! The thing I really liked, is the display that allows you to control the number of turns per minute of the fan. Also, which never hurts, it is also very beautiful from an aesthetic point of view. Personally, I bought it in euros, but anyway by clicking this link, you should be redirected directly to your country’s amazon store.
How this external laptop cooling system works
There are many ways to try to cool a laptop, and then there’s this fabulous system! I talk about it well because even when my laptop was new, I couldn’t play any game that engaged my video card because it overheated too much. The system is brilliant, basically forcibly dragging out all the hot air from the laptop, outweighing the shortcomings of the native cooling system. My laptop is a nice machine and I am fond of it, with this solution is reborn. In addition, the system does not need to work with the fan to the maximum. Great results, they are achieved by keeping the adjustable crank of the fan’s power even in half. The fan of this laptop cooling system turns out to be really quieter than the fan of my laptop.
The reasons why I decided to buy an external laptop cooling system
With external cooling system, we mean any cooling system that does not have to be connected to internal parts of the computer, is therefore independent, if it breaks you can change and you do not have to disassemble the laptop. Which is something that increases its economics in an absolute sense, especially in laptops.
The first cause of malfunction, obsolescence and senescence of a laptop is precisely the overheating. Although computer components are designed to work even at a reasonably high temperature, it cannot be ruled out that any metal body expands with heat. Temperatures can be really high within a closed system like a laptop. Working with an extremely overheated laptop is equivalent to putting the laptop in an oven at 70 degrees celsius. I wouldn’t. It is therefore imperative to try to protect our laptop from too high a temperature. Also because, not everyone can afford the luxury of changing computers every year.
This model in particular is the second version, slightly larger and with a greater capacity than the fan. They claim that in their tests the computer temperature has dropped by about 20 degrees but I can assure you that in my tests, I realized that you can lower even more. Keep in mind that I could not write with my laptop due to the fact that the keys were too hot. Now it is also too cool and silent especially.
The second reason is certainly compatibility in fact, a good system of this type, comes with a set of adapters of different sizes that can adhere well to any slit of lateral air spill.
Why I wouldn’t buy an external laptop cooling system
Obviously perfection in life does not exist, this is not a system that is fine if it does not have a rigid floor like a desk on which to rest it. However, there is another solution, also of the same brand, that provides a less performing and lighter system. I can’t think of anything else.
Price and similar alternatives
I bought it with a special offer in euros. Currently the price is around 25-30 euros/dollars and i still show you the various alternatives that you can always find on the amazon site. I put them directly from the Us website but by clicking on it you should be redirected to your country’s amazon store. Obviously if you decide to buy this item, I should receive a commission from these links. So if I’m disliked, you can search directly from the amazonsite.
Other cooling systems for laptops
For completeness I would like to specify that this is not the only system to cool your laptop, there are internal and external liquid cooling systems and bases with fans and even other less common systems. In the first case, however, it is a very expensive solution and may not be worth spending all this money on. Remember that any laptop sooner or later, no matter how much you paid for it, will be subject to senescence or obsolescence and therefore it is not worth spending a lot of money on it.
