Turmeric Fried Rice with Fillets Recipe

Today, I propose one of the most popular dishes eaten in Malaysia. It is turmeric fried rice with fillets. You may have noticed that turmeric seems to be an integral part of this nation's traditional cuisine.

Origins

Fried rice is prepared in several nations in East Asia, South Asia, the Pacific, Africa and even Europe. What varies is the method of preparation, the spices and the components, which are usually native to the place.

Ingredients

  • Rice;
  • Frying oil;
  • Garlic;
  • Onion;
  • Green chilli paste;
  • Chicken breasts;
  • Turmeric powder;
  • Black pepper powder;
  • White pepper powder;
  • Vegetable seasoning powder;
  • Salt;
  • Eggs or Cucumbers;

Preparation

  1. Cook the rice in the rice cooker.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  3. Cut up some garlic and onion and fry them in the hot oil.
  4. Put two tablespoons of green chilli paste together.
  5. Fry them until brown and put in some chicken slices.
  6. Then, put some turmeric powder, black pepper powder, white pepper powder and seasoning powder.
  7. Finally, put some rice and salt, taking care to mix everything together.
  8. Serve with cucumber or salad and fried egg.
